Indy Food Drop

Oct 16, 2018 | In the Community

red semi truckIndy Food Drop is an initiative in the Indianapolis area that helps redirect declined food shipments. Whether a shipment was rejected due to improper temperature, damaged packaging, or browning and bruising of produce, Indy Food Drop uses rejected food to feed the hungry. Instead of heading to the landfill, truck drivers and brokers can contact the Indy Food Bank to help off load and reuse salvageable food. Donations of salvageable food to the food banks are eligible for a tax-deductible receipt.

For more information on the Indy Food Drop, view their press release or visit the Indy Food Drop Website.
